From Thursday, October 13, 2022 to Sunday, October 16, 2022, a cross-section of our young women gathered with the Gompa District Young Women Network at the Grace United Methodist Church in Ganta City to observe the Young Women Network (YOWONET) Annual Symposium. The YOWONET Symposium was celebrated under the Theme: Making Something great out of Little with Text: 2 Kings 4:1-7 and had 14 Districts in full attendance.
A few of the major activities during the program included reviewing of each district YOWONET activities through listening and discussing district coordinators’ reports, Workshop (History and importance of Young Women Gathering & The importance of the constitution/ book of discipline and their usage), livelihood skills training, parade, sports, trauma healing session, talent night and closing service.
Under the theme, “Do Not Empty Yourself” with text from 2 King 4:1-7, celebrated peacefully in love, kindness, fellowship, studying of the words and reconnecting the wheel of sisterhood as the was climaxed on October 15, 2022 with a Closing Service. Gratitude to the Chief of Secretariat, Bro. Edwin Dormie, Jr. who preached the closing service making use of Theme: What do you have? and text: 2Kings 4:1-7. Hats off to the 1st vice President, Sis. Martha B. Dobboh, Sis. Gitler Nathan and her team for ensuring that the YOWONET Annual Symposium became a success. Thanks to Sis. Mai J. G. Paelay, Sis. Autherlyn Jimmy and Sis. Hawa C.
